I have been in a relationship with "Kyle" for 4 years. Kyle and I are very happy together, and I never felt the urge to cheat.
Recently, through a social networking site, I reconnected with an old acquaintance from high school. We talk a lot, almost everyday. He has a girlfriend, but it seems like he flirts with me. I would be lying if I said I didn't act somewhat flirtatious back. He calls me things like "sweetheart," and "cutie." I like it.
I feel guilty about the conversations I have with this man, and I think that guilt says a lot. I would NEVER cheat on Kyle.
is it normal to have this kind of friendship with "another man?"

    If you can't tell kyle about it, it is cheating. I don't agree that penetration has to occur to cheat. If it is deceitful, has to be kept secret, or kyle wouldn't approve - you are cheating on him to some extent.

    Give the guy a break. Be honest. Let him have the chance to decide if its cheating, and if he still wants you.

    If it's really ok, why not tell him?

    I say it's alright as long as it doesn't turn into more than anything but flirtatious conversations.
    Still though, would YOU like "Kyle" to be doing this? And if he saw what you guys talk about, is it worth losing him over?

    If Kyle knows you're posting this on IIN.com then it's no big deal. But if this is a secret too then you're pissing into the wind and being a stupid ambiguous childish teen. Considering he doesn't know about the conversation, I think you know where you stand.
