Your kidneys are telling you to stop. I lost a family member that way. Be kind to yourself. Listen to your body.

I don't think people should drink heavily, get a buzz and then stop.
The older I get the less I like alcohol the more I love caffeine!!!

  • Th kidney's are actually in the middle of your back not the lower. I used to get lower back pain too. I never knew what it was from.

  • Check to see if you were knifed while you were passed out.

I agree with the above posters. It's your kidneys. My drinking friends and I used to call it being "victim of a chemical attack" which rather passes the blame away from ourselves. Occasionally we tried to push the blame so far away that we'd not even say it in English but instead pidgin French. Une attac de chemiculaire.

If your urine is very yellow the next day, then your kidneys are probably screaming for water.

You're dehydrated. Try drinking water with and after the alcohol.

Your lower back is where your kidneys are. When I google 'kidneys hurt after drinking alcohol' there are various answers from infection to dehydration. I'm not a doctor, so I can't comment further.
