Yes. Your hormones are going bonkers. The week leading up to mine...good grief, I could slaughter whole villages with ease, then I'm super blaahhh for the next week.
Science says PMS is a myth.

That's not reliable, everyone knows PMS is real. Hormonal imbalances cause emotions to fluctuate in all sorts of ways. Besides, I don't mark the day I get my period ever (dumb, I know) but before I get it , I cry over anything and yell/punch things like I've posted above. This only happens on my period and it's also the only time I ever cry during the year is three days before my periods.
The first time I ever got my period (I think I was 12), I remember screaming at a waiter in the restaurant because our food was taking too long and I never yell or scream, I'm a very mellow person.
My parents were both stunned and asked me if my friends gave me drugs because they never saw me react that way. I was embarrassed for a few days and my parents still kept asking me if I was okay as I was still acting mean to people(I was rude to a cashier at a store - still feel bad about that :( ). I thought I was going crazy because for about three solid days, I actually hated everyone and was pissed off at everything. It was not until I saw blood in my underwear for the first time that I realized it wasn't my fault. My Mother explained what it was and told my Father and Brother why I had done that as my Father was still asking if I was on drugs lol. I never live that down! They know I'm really mean before my period/a day into it. In fact, they actually know when I'm on my period before I even do so I usually just use them as my "reminder" but half of the time, I'm in denial and get annoyed when they tell me I'm on my period but they're always right..
Normal, a week before her period, my wife always yells at me a lot and she's not someone who often yells. She'll yell at me if I don't throw something away, if I don't put the toilet seat down and last time she even yelled at me for eating the last dorito chip in the bag. She actually was so annoyed with me that she told me next time she's going to buy 30 bags of doritos and eat them all. I started smiling because I found it funny and she threw a roll of toilet paper at me. Yes, PMS is normal, my wife has been this way for years. She never circles it on the calendar but I always know when she's about to get it because of these symptoms.
My sister did some crazy stuff right before her period as well. My sister isn't a nasty person either but one time a week before she got her period, we were eating dinner outside and my dad made hotdogs and baked beans. She was angry because there was a fly on her hotdog and my Father started laughing while my Mother said "she must be getting her period". I knew she was pmsing because not only did she yell at the fly for ruining her hotdog but she took the whole bowl of beans and threw it at the hotdog. It was probably the funniest thing I've ever seen her do.
Normal. I'm not a violent person and I'm very patient but on my period, I punch things or yell. I could be at the pharmacy picking up a prescription and if there's a line and I've been on it for just two minutes, I get all angry and Hulk out. I then say under my breath, "this is effing stupid" and then I yell out, "WHAT'S TAKING SO LONG, HURRY UP, I FEEL LIKE I'VE BEEN HERE FOR 30 YEARS" and then if it's longer, I'll just grab a product from the shelf and slam it down on the floor and walk out.
One time I kicked my neighbor's dog for eating my last celery stick. I was just eating it in my yard and here comes Frodo and he jumps up on my table and eats it so I screamed "YOU SON OF A BITCH!!!" and literally chased him while I kicked his bum.
Yeah, it's normal. I get reallyyy hormonal as you can tell.
