It's normal but no one wants to admit to it. You should not see a psychiatrist unless it's causing you problems. Just because people think it's a little "weird" doesn't mean you need to waste money telling a doctor about it and risk humiliation.

It is very important to remember that having sex with an animal is illegal and abuse, if this animal is your pet or generally trusts you then it is an abuse of that trust to use that animal for your pleasure. Its not as common as applepies but its normal.(as long as you consider animals as living being that have feelings too) I feel the same, im attractet to large straightfurred dogs as well (only opposite sex , females thususe th.) but also like romantically. I wouldn't say if it's normal or not, but it isn't anything uncommon. It's like homosexuality, or as mentioned before asexuality. For some it's just natural and there's nothing wrong with that. It isn't normal... but as long as it does not affect ur regular way of life then it is not a disorder. If you feel it isn't right, and want to get rid of the urges you feel, you should definitely talk to a psychologist, not necessarily a psychiatrist, if the psychologist thinks you need further treatment he will probably decide if to send you with a psychiatrist or not.
