Is it normal that i have a horrible fear of worms of any kind?

I don't know if it's just me..kinda feels like it..but I have a really extreme fear of worms and internal parasites.
Knowing animals get them easily, I'm always afraid for my dog or cats to lick my hand and it come in contact with my face fearing I will transfer the eggs somehow through their saliva (I know this is proven to be unlikely..still freaks me out)..I get scared to death if I notice something off about my body that could relate to possible internal parasites/worms no matter how unrealistic it is..Seeing pictures of worms freak me out...I hope I'm not the only one with this problem..Just get soooo freaked out and paranoid about getting them :\

    I'm not scared, just grossed out. I am phobic of arachnids and other dodgy looking bug-like creatures though. I wish I wasn't. At least a fear of parasites and worms is based in rationality.

    Yah. I have a phobia of bugs and stuff related to bugs... I'm not as afraid as worms as you are, though... My sister's Science Fair project in 4th grade was about worms. I finally broke my phobia as I got used to looking and touching them... Of course I wanted to wash my hands until they would fall of, but I'm not scared anymore!

    ooo i love worms i would eat a worm i would slurp it up like a noodle but what would be funny if i had a browny and put a worm on it and it crawled in and i gave it to someone and they took a big bite outta that worm lol i want to do that that so bad! that would be hilarious! :D

      I am too, Ever since I was little I was watching TV and this show kinda like monsters inside me came on. It was about tape worms. After that I flipped out I wouldn't eat fish or meat I hated to touch my cats. And other such, I hate them, then they started to show up everywhere. I can't even sit on our couch or chair my fear's gotten so bad. I freak out at the site of them.
