Is it normal that i have a habit of tasting seawater?

Whenever I go to a coastal area, I always try to taste the seawater. I usually touch the water and then put it on my tongue to taste the saltwater, just to confirm that it is the sea. Is this normal?

  • You walk into a 7/11 bathroom on the sea coast.

You see a toilet with suspicious materials floating within.

I think it's normal I taste it to, and my sister does it to.

Ha. Never thought of doing it before going in the water, which is when I do the confirmation procedure in the ocean. I usually let half my head/face sink and leave my mouth open and just allow for the water to go through for a while and then spit it out. It leaves you with that salty taste and feeling of immensity.

hm. Not that you mention it, i actually do the same the first time coming to a beach. I don't go out of my way to do so, and it's only ocean/sea beaches, but the very first time i go into the water at a beach, i will "taste"-sample the water. Like, lick off a finger. Weird ^_^ I voted normal, because to me it is, despite my reason not being "to confirm it's the sea". I don't know why i do that. But i wonder how this will turn out.
