Is it normal that i have a crush on my boss who is older?

It's weird to me. I never thought I'd fall for a guy who was eight years older, divorced, had a son who is 5, and is my boss. He's 30 and I'm 22. He and I used to flirt and talk a lot. I left for three weeks and when I got back, he told me he missed me and he always makes me laugh. Our company forbids managers from dating non managers. Last week, I found out he got a gf. A girl that used to work for him. Now I'm that girl.

I avoid him now at work as much as I can. He says hi to me first and tries to talk. But I can't. I knew it wasn't possible from the start but I'm just hurt. And he has no idea I feel this way but even if he did, I can't date him. Is this normal? Really? Why have I fallen so hard for someone I'll never get?

    Been there I was an employee at a Kohls store in az. At the time I was inlove with one of the managers he would always make me feel good and hear what I had to say he was 37 going thru. A messy divorce had two kids was from Wisconsin I was 21 everyone thought he had a thing for this one older ladywho wore got outfits to look hip but was just trying to be a cougar But they never saw him and I were close But then one day he said he was going to awatuhkee later I heard. He is in casa grand I think we all have had those similar workomances u just. Have to shrug it off and realize it wasn't ever goin to go anywhere

    Sounds like me. You fell for him because he's safe. You knew you couldn't have him. It gave you the attention and daring you craved without the risk of falling in love and a messy relationship. It's natural, but not entirely healthy. From what you've described he sounds kinda like a player and I'd avoid getting into any form of relationship with him, especially when he has a girlfriend despite flirting with you, and especially since he's your manager.

    Don't be afraid to go out with someone your own age and who you CAN have a relationship with. Love and dating is a scary thing, but you can't live without feeling, and you can't feel without the highs AND the lows. So take a risk and get out there. : )
