There's this boy that's really funny and charismatic, but he's nothing special. I wouldn't say he's unattractive or attractive. I'm really confused. Is it normal to fall in love with someone for their personality?

Funny and charismatic = confident + social + smart. These are characteristics women find attractive in men. Appearance, while a factor, is only a part of the equation.
But of course for men, appearance is nearly everything when it comes to attractive women.
Same here. All that means is that his personality makes up for not being incredibly attractive. Completely normal.

All beauty means is they're nice to look at, but once a person ages and the beauty fades, all you'll have is their personality.
Good for you.. Anyway, based on my experience when I like someone based on their personality, the feeling lasts longer than when I like someone just because of their looks. And again, I believe level of attractiveness is completely subjective.
