Is it normal that i hate when people bitch at me?

People will bitch at me everytime I say I hate my boss/job. They say "Why the fuck are you whinning??? You're lucky you have a job and are getting paid! Ive applied everywhere and haven't gotten one callback. Gad damn you're always complaining about your boss when id give all I have to work for them." I understand where there coming from bc times are tough and its insanely hard to get a job, it took me over 6 months to find this job and I dont complain all that often all I ever say is "I hate my boss she's always on my ass about every little thing."

So is it normal to get yelled at by someone unemployed for complaining about my job?

If you're speaking to someone that you now is unemployed it's a bit tactless of you. Find something else to moan about or better still, think of something to say that will make THEM smile! People hate moaners, try to smile.

You've every right to complain. They will be joining you whenn they eventually get a job. The thankfulness for having it wears off fast. Well, it did for me.

i guess in your friends mind they perceive you rubbing it in that you have a job... i think your friend is a tad crazy.

you give your boss time and freedom for money. i don't like to think about or talk about work when i'm not getting paid for it. think about it that way, that you're ruining your free time and not getting paid for it. joybird makes a find point too.

I totally understand both your frustrations and those of your friend. With unemployment rising ever higher in the last few years, there's been a corresponding power shift to employers, and don't they know it? It's a sad situation when employees are scared to stand up for themselves for fear of losing their jobs and being unable to find another.
