Is it normal that I hate when people hug me? Like I absolutely cannot stand it. And it isn't because I've had something traumatic happen, I've just always been this way.
The only hugs I didn't mind and actually liked we're from my ex boyfriend. I don't know why those were different, yet I could hug and be hugged by him no problem after a little getting used to.
Is that normal?

    I'd actually like to be more huggy and give and receive more hugs. I love hugs! But it's normal of you don't.

    Nothing says you have to enjoy hugging people. If you don't like it, extend your hand for a handshake instead.

    I think people put too much emphasis on what they consider good manners and act like the individual should have to suffer so he or she can conform to everyone else's expectations. If you don't like hugging people, don't do it.
