download something. Its pretty irritating when the website says "Download NOW", then i have to keep clicking on link after link! whats the point of this? why cant i just go straight to the download link?
Like anything in life, the only reason you'd have to do something like this is because there's something in it for someone else. If it's not the chance to spam you, infect you, or scan you, then it's because they're getting click-through revenue from you clicking links and want to make as much out of you as they can.
Whenever you see something that seems wrong, ask yourself what's in it for someone else to keep it wrong. It'll give you some interesting insights into how the world really is.
Simple - you're trying to do illegal downloads.
Thus you pay the price in having too many links to click, or you get hit with viruses etc.
You can solve this easily by switching to legal downloads.
Usually means you are being spammed and/or being directed through different channels (exposing you to viruses). These sites are not trustworthy sites. I deal with this type of issue daily in my profession.
