Is it normal that i hate tv?

I swear there is like nothing good on tv these days. Even with cable or satellite, you got like over a thousand channels and still nothing good on. All you ever see are reality shows. Reality shows on almost every channel. It also seems that the commercials last longer than the actual tv shows themselves. Whenever I watch TV Land, or ME TV because I'm a fan of classic tv shows, the commercials take up most of the time, and half the show is already gone because of those awful commercials. I used to love watching Cartoon Network because they had cartoons like Flintstones, Jetsons, Dexter's Laboratory, and Powerpuff Girls. But now they got rid of those shows and replaced them with cartoons that are not all that funny or interesting. Same with Nickelodeon. I used to love watching shows like Rugrats, Doug, Fairly Oddparents, and Jimmy Neutron. But now they may as well rename Nickelodeon to "The Spongebob Channel" because it seems that's all they ever play on Nick. I'm thinking of taking out my satellite because it's pretty much a waste of money to pay for a bunch of channels I don't even watch. I'm just gonna use my tv to play PS3, XBOX, and watch DVDs on it.

    OMFG I hate the idiot box too! It's a means to program your mind.. Be it the lies of network TV, what have you. You can never believe the BS they spew, not the mention how they use psychology to make you unknowingly think how they want. Plus it's sedentary. it SUCKS.

    I think it is normal to dislike TV, not just because I mostly don't like it either but simply because its possible that you just don't like the shows that air. I also don't really care for reality shows as it feels like scripted drama where someone kisses another, someone gets slapped and someone gets pushed into a pool. Scrubs, Heroes and Community are worth the watch though.

    My TV is always being used for gaming but do you happen to watch anime? I get my fix with that instead.

    You can always buy dvds or else watch NatGeo. When there's nothing on tv I zap on NatGeo or on CuisineTv.
