Is it normal that i hate to hear certain languages?

I recently found out I hate chinese language. I don't hate the whole thing but when I hear it, I get really annoyed. I was sitting in front of a group of Chinese people in the library and I had to keep my headphones on because I would get too annoyed to study..

  • In some cultures it is normal to talk loudly in public places.

It could be that they don't even realize they are being offensive because it's not something that is offensive in their culture.

I'm a Chinese. Only speak and can understand Mandarin.

HATE people speaking dialects!Even from my own city!

I get especially annoyed when people speak Shanghainese. I have spend my senior 2,3, and a few months of freshmen in Shanghai. It was a tough time and some Shanghainese people are cold or even hostile. I will think a friendly person hostile only because he/she is speaking Shanghainese.

I like to hear Japanese due to its animes and games, and German due to its great thinkers and scientists, English due to Amercian's superior education and it's an academic lauguage, too.

So, the preference of languages maybe depend on your impression of the culture. There's not always "Ching chang chow"in the lauguage.

If you have innate hate to Chinese, just gently write some articles online to suggest them to overcome their disadvantages. I know my people is willing to give westerners a good impression.

There is no spoken "Chinese" language. There are many dialects such as Cantonese, Mandarin, Hakka, Teochu, etc.

I'm starting to find myself hating English. Which is odd, because it's the only language I can currently speak. It's also the main language in my country.

I don't like languages that use that "guttral" noise, back of the throat that sounds like they're choking on something. Like Arabic or Welsh.

I love accents! Especially NY and Southern accents. Where I'm from you have either muzzas or bogans and that pisses me off. Speak fuckin normal dick face...woops, tangenting a little there...

lol Well it is a tonal language so maybe that's why.

Accents annoy me more than anything. I don't particularly like heavy country accents or New York accents.
