Is it normal that i hate the sound of slamming doors?
I can't help it. The sound of a slamming door really grates on my nerves. I find that the person not caring about making such a loud noise is a big part of the annoyance.

Yes! That completly distrubs any piece of mind. Its worse when you can hear your neighboors constantly slamming their doors
I know someone who does this with the refrigerator door... I do not think he is intentionally slamming it, so much as just not closing it easily. I am probably just exaggerating the noise in my mind though.
I used to be annoyed by people slamming doors. until I did it my self.
and by the way, just wondering. since when was this a sight to talk about colours.
I agree. Sometimes a door will slam with me not meaning to do it and I cringe. I make the shhhh sound to it.
This is the bane of my life. What door really needs to be slammed when it can just be closed normally?
I'm completely with you on this. It grates on me!
I get really anxious and nervous with the sound of loud slamming, it's like PTSD from back when my parents were abusive towards my sisters and I and nearly every day doors would slam when something happened. Now loud slamming noises and loud arguments or shouting puts me in a bad place. I automatically think that I'm not safe around whichever place and I get the shakes.. It's hard to stay in other people houses when they get mad or angry at some reason and slam doors or cupboards really loud at night and that really gets to me, sometimes I feel it's almost on purpose and I can't get the feeling of dread out of my stomach when it happens. I don't understand why people just can't control themselves or their anger either and affect others with such a negative vibe. It's hard to live this way
I can't remember the last time I heard a door slam. I guess that means I no longer pay attention to the sound.
