Is it normal that i hate the sound of my parents having sex??

The second I hear them I start to cry. I really don't know why. It gives me unbearable amounts of anxiety. I've asked my mom to stop TWICE, and she says she'll stop, then like a week later I hear them again. It makes me super paranoid too. Every sound I hear I think its them. It's killing me!!!! So is it normal to hate hearing them this much?

It would be weirder if you liked it.

It's normal to be grossed out and uncomfortable, but crying and experiencing anxiety are very dramatic reactions. Do you have other anxieties?

Yes it's normal, but fucking is pretty important in most relationships - it's why you exist, after all - so you might want to let them get on with it and invest in some ear plugs.

Not really fair to expect them to have a shitty time in the bedroom just because of your sensitive ways.

Dad was a drunk and left when I was 5.

Thanks for the silver lining OP.

    Today was a good day.

Smash down the door with a sledgehammer and when they suddenly twist their heads to look at the door stand there screaming and ruffling your hair for 5 minutes.

They'll never have sex again as the trauma and fear of it all will guarantee that an erection will never get past the 30 degree angle anymore.

Good luck and let us know how it goes.

Ears are one of the earliest developments in evolutionary biology, so it's liable the first sound you heard was your parents humping you into existence while your dad's penis thrust ever closer to your womb-like hidey hole.

    Ain't life grand?

Buy swimmers ear plugs, they're amazing. They're like little pieces of jelly plastic which you ram in your ears and which render you completely and utterly deaf. No other ear plugs come close.

I might try those. Got some earplugs from the chemist designed for airplanes and they didn't work in the slightest.

It's normal to not like hearing that completely, but no need to cry honesty. I'd rather know my parents still like to bang after 27 years of marriage rather than them not doing it at all. Ask them to do it when you aren't home maybe? Try to compromise

Yes, it is normal. You should ask her to keep it down and tell her how you really feel.

It's good that your parents have a good relationship. It'd be worse if they didn't and they were divorcing. I know it's gross, but I guess the walls of your home aren't very well insulated, or something like that. Maybe do what Gspyder said and to wear earbuds and watch you tube vids or something?

Chill out! Your parents are grown and married (most likely) adults. It's unfair to hem to expect them to either not have sex or to only have VERY super quiet sex. Put your ear phones in, ignore them, and go to sleep. You SHOULD be happy and grateful that you're not having to hear them screaming at each other and fighting all of the time. It's GOOD that they're in a healthy relationship. Healthy relationships DO involve sexual activity usually. You really just need to GET OVER IT! It IS normal for them to be having sex, it is NOT normal however for you to be bothered so extremely and severely by it.

I know your pain, I had to also. Try listening to music really loud or wearing earplugs, it worked for me

Play loud music to drown them out.

Put some earbuds in and listen to music. It's normal that it makes you uncomfortable, but it's good your parents are still intimate.
