Is it normal that i hate the misuse of the word "several"

I'm an easy going guy, often passive aggressive and whatnot, but I absolutely lose my mind if someone uses the word "Several" incorrectly, or using it too often when it does not apply - like my teacher: he uses the word almost ever sentence..."We've seen the use of this imagery several times prior. etc.," when in fact it had never been mentioned yet, for example.
Anyways, I was just wondering if its normal to have this pet peeve and if anyone else has it.

    passive aggressive = person who doesnt stand up for themselves because they're scared of everything...instead acts like a jerk in the most wimpy of fashions.

      When you mention seeing something "several" times prior, when we had never seen the imagery? I'm sure thats a misuse of the word

    I feel the same way about the overuse and misuse of the word 'literally', as when people say things like, "I literally just died right now." It pisses me off more than it should.

    How is "passive aggressive" easy going? Too many people misuse that term when they really just mean "passive", or, well... easy going. "Easy going" is understanding if your roommate uses your shampoo sometimes. "Passive aggressive" is filling the shampoo bottle with your own semen.

    Anyways, I was just wondering if its normal to have this pet peeve and if anyone else has it.

    i havent noticed several but "actually" gets old pretty quick too, or "them" ones instead of those or these, one lady around here laughs a lot, every sentence ends with a chuckle even when she complains ( a lot) she uses it instead of a full stop. so i understand your complaint

    I don't have that one but I do have a peeve about the way footballers in England speak.

    They tend to start many sentences with "As I said" or "Like I said" even when discussing something that has only just happened. If it's just happened, you can't have commented on it at any prior point in your life.

    Or they'll mangle things and say "We done a great performance" or "All the boys done good" or "There is none what think we did bad in the first half".

    I think "done good" is my personal bête noire because it has only two words and both are wrong. It should be "did well" not "done good".

        I'm watching women's football at the moment (England versus Holland) and one of the women at half-time did something the men (including David Beckham) do. Footballers don't seem to be able to pronounce the word "everything". They say "everyfink".

        Men's football next. Your favourite player should make an appearance. Good old Cristiano Ronaldo.

            I was teasing her. For a Spaniard who supports Barcelona, a Portuguese player signed with Real Madrid is going to struggle in a popularity contest. He also falls foul of me for being late of the parish of Manchester United.
