Is it normal that i hate the feeling and sound of cotton balls?

Some people say cotton balls don't have a sound but they do! I hate them and cannot stand to feel them. Am I normal?

Everyone has their quirks. I hate the sound of two pieces of styrofoam being rubbed together. At the same time, nails on a chalkboard doesn't bother me at all.

Same here! The sound is so dry and annoying. Sticking them in my ears are horrible. I hate to feel them between my teeth. Ugh!!! I'm glad I'm not the only one.

Twice, I've had to get loose baby teeth extracted from my mouth. There was allot of bleeding and each time they gave me cotton to soak up the blood. That's when the cotton would grind against my teeth.

    Not at all!

Heck, every now and then I'll even dappled my floor with Cotton Balls just to liven things up.

I know what you mean. It doesn't bother me too much because I don't use them often, only with nail polish remover, but they do make a horrible sound. A bit like fingernails on a chalkboard, just not as loud and not as intense? I don't know, that's the best I can describe it lol and they "feel" the same..can't really compare a "feeling" with a "sound" but....agh. I don't know. Lol

      Yes, agree.

Certain antique shops scare me... I just feel so odd around old used objects. But yet I like museums and old historical sightings. I'm just odd, that's all it is to it. :)

I can see some rather perverted comments to this. ha

I share this strange feeling. I don't like the way they smell, either. In fact, of the five senses, the only one they don't offend is the sense of sight.

I joke around a lot but I am actually serious about this. When you rub them between your fingers, it just feels weird and it makes that odd indescribable noise. It sends a bit of a shiver down my spine. Anyway, high five to you. At least we're not alone in this!
