I HATE suede. I can't wear it, I can't touch it, and there are few things I hate more than running my fingers over it. It's like gritting teeth or nails on a chalkboard to me. Is it normal to detest a fabric in such a way? Are there others out there who also harbour such hatred for clothing materials?

Suede makes me gag if i touch it , so does velvet and corduroy so i would say its pretty normal, although a lot of people laugh when i say fabric makes me feel ill
Omg yes! Ever since I was a child. I remember when I was about 4-5 we had this swede couches and I used to HATE sitting on them or even feeling them. just… ehk… I’d get this twitch in my spine lol. Denim and burlap too
can’t stand suede, velvet or corduroy. only way i can describe the feeling is it makes my brain itch. sort of like the nails on a chalk board thing. Also can not stand whatever matirial seemingly every seat in all cars are made of. *cringe*
I have the same issue. I work retail do when we get suede products in I literally will not touch them. I told my bosses and they laughed it off but I felt really embarrassed. Its like nails on a chalkboard for me. I also had a problem where I couldn't touch paper if I just got out of the shower or washed and dried my hands. It's weird but I'm glad I'm not alone.
I also dislike corduroy for a moment cousse i had to wear it at school and at home to i was eighteen. It was a strickt private school and only dark blue wide wale corduroy pants was legal to use.
You are weak to have these dislikes. Maybe in a war there might be some suede, then what?
I can't believe you are even concerned about this. If you don't like it don't wear it! However there is someone out there who will kick your petty ass with his massive suede boots.
los of people cat touch cottonwool. even the sound of it being pulled apart makes them go crazy. never heard of a hatred of suede before and i cant say i understand it, but im sure you're not alone
