Is it normal that i hate small talk

I just hate small talk. Like when I see some one from high school I try to avoid them but they find me in that milk section anyway. I mean you knew them enough to say high but never really hang out. What do people usually say " oh what have you been up to"? And after that. Akward. I would rather just avoid the whole situation. Does any one els feel this way?

    If we were never friends I would just ignore them.. if they come up to me id say "Hi" then walk away.. no need for small talk idc what they think. We have nothing to talk about so go away freak!
