I hate all kinds of piercings so much, I have never had one in my life and wouldn't want to, I think they look horrible on other people and sometimes they actually make me feel sick.
I even hate plane stud earrings.. It's just something about a piece of metal going through the skin that makes me feel really cringy...
So is this normal?
I have had a graphic image in my mind about piercings such as earings getting caught and ripping out the skin around, since I was a little kid. I never got any piercings.
I don't know what wouldn't be normal about finding metal going through the skin creepy.
Different things creep different people out... I have piercings myself, but there are some that creep me out too.
it's weird, see, i search "friend get's piercing and i hate piercings, do i complement" and guess what google gives me? ten pages of basically the same thing: "why do adults hate piercings?", "where to get piercings", "what if your bf/gf doesn't like you'r piercing." etc, etc. so few few people don't like piercings compared to those who do. also, the few that DON'T have mostly different reasons, mine is quite simple, and might i just add that the arguments on behalf of piercings make it way harder to tolerate. either way here is why:
the physical appearance is in multiple ways disturbing. and i use the word disturbing to describe how i feel looking at them, very uncomfortable. why? because they of all accessories are pretty impossible to ignore. take a beautiful face, add a piercing, that face is now totally compromised because no matter how hard i try, i can't ignore the thing in the skin. and i think they take away from the natural (or i guess how it looks untouched) beauty. i guess the real deal here is that i'm drawn to aesthetically pleasing appearances.
Well if you're telling people to stop getting pierced, that's wrong. I just take on a not giving a fuck attitude on aesthetics that I dislike so it doesn't bother me. Lots of more important things to think about
theres some i dont like but ive got my ears and bellybutton done, i dont like tongue piercings or corset piercings, theyre gross.

Probably normal, but I don't personally have a problem with it. I might get one at some point, but I don't specifically plan on it.
Pirates/sailors used to pierce their ears to decrease sexual desire on long voyages.So there are so many unexpected 'benefits' of it.
personally, i love them! it's a way to change up your body that you can get rid of at pretty much anytime. i've got 14 of them!
I find piercings such a turn on! Then again that might not be normal...
i simple earring is ok but things like nose ones, ones on the tongue etc are just disgusting
