Is it normal that i hate peeing with someone in the next room?

If there's even a chance they could hear me, I turn the tap on to disguise myself, haha! Also, I never talk/shout outside to folk when i'm using the bathroom. I thought that was pretty standard etiquette?

Even in a public restroom, if it's empty, we're all good. If there's other folk peeing, we're all good. If there's other folk and they're not doing anything, I'll wait for someone else to start/for them to leave.

Funny thing, if I'm at someone else's house I'm always afraid someone's going to accidentally walk in on me so I'd never turn the tap on just because I like to be able to hear if there's footsteps coming. Hey, it's happened before!

I hate it when bathroom doors don't lock for this very reason.

I turn on the sink. I know they know what I'm doing and that I'm trying to cover it up, so I announce it. It makes no sense, I know. But I always say "don't listen to me pee!" and turn on the sink.
