Is it normal that i hate parties?

I hate going to parties. I would rather lie in bed at home. I also hate people being in my house and I can't stand drunk people. When there are parties at my house I lie in bed in the dark and hope nobody comes in. Is this normal?

I understand. Not everyone enjoys being in a crowded, loud room full of people who aren't even totally aware of what the hell they are doing.

It could be fun if you made yourself into a pinata.

It's normal. I personally enjoy parties, and drunk people. But everyone is different and everyone enjoys different things, and settings.

Parties are loud and very crowded, I'm not a fan either. I like get togethers but I don't like it when everybody is loud and there is alcohol involved.

I like those with a relaxed, social atmosphere that isn't focused on how wasted you can get or how loud you can make the bass, that ends as well as it starts and is populated with interesting, funny and affectionate people (minimal dickheads).

Unfortunately the majority of parties I've been to have not been that.

I dislike parties as well. I don't like being around a lot of people at once and add in alcohol people just become very annoying.

    Yup.
    I agree with this 100%

The way most people party these days really sucks.

I'm not the biggest fan of parties. Get togethers with friends don't bother me. But seeing as I'm to young to drink and my parents drink everyday, beer doesn't bother me.

Its not a party untill somebody puts on a mask and yells "IT'S GOOFY TIME!"

i dont like socializing either, though i will almost never turn down a chance to get drunk with people that i know on some level so that i can, socialize... I find i prefer to stay at home to save myself from embarrassing myself, one of my biggest fears (of which i cannot help but to embarrass myself, over and over again). Hopefully by at home, you mean with family or people that just admire or care about your company. Cause being alone kind of sucks too!

I also don't really like parties. But I do like busy and wild performances! It's strange.

I avoid parties that have no purpose and the people there have no connected interest. It is a waste of time forcing small talk to people that don't have any relativity to my daily life. If it is a casual party with people roaming around I usually can't wait to get home.

The only way I've found to tolerate them is to be so inebriated yourself that you don't notice them so much.

*Warning, alcohol poisoning may or may not ensue...
