Is it normal that i hate my cat

My cat is a pest, I tried to love my cat and I am guilty of spoiling her, to a point where she only wants to lay in my arms and eat wet food allll day long. When its bath time (usually once a month) she gets mad and sprays and shits on the floors, when its time to groom; nail clipping, she hisses and sprays!! I'm so over her spraying, I'm so over this cat I want to give her away...should I give her away I'm over being nice?

The only time you should ever bathe a cat is if they have fecess stuck in there hair or some other horrible thing. No wonder your cat acts like this the poor thing is stressed out by your horrible pet ownership skills.

If you don't love her, it's absolutely best that you find a loving home for her.

I would've formerly agreed with the people who say pets are for life no matter what, but I've rescued pets that were unloved and weren't given up when they should've been, and the abuse and neglect they endured was heartbreaking. So now, I totally believe that if you cannot provide a loving home (or the proper care) for an animal, it is best for the animal's sake to find them a home that can.

Just don't be one of those people who continually gets new pets expecting perfection out of them without putting any effort into training and then gets rid of them over and over, please.

Not everyone can bond with a pet, it’s fine if you didn’t. Just bring her to a animal shelter so they can find her a new family.

Just because you bought something doesn’t mean you have to love it. You should just rid of it if you’re unhappy because you can’t expect how you feel about your cat to change. Things turn out differently than we’d like and if that’s a changeable problem change it.

Why the hell are you trying to bathe a cat?

I occasionally see people talking about this, and it blows my mind.

I've shared a house with cats for several decades, and the only time I've ever had to inflict the trauma of bathing on them and me is if the cat got something really nasty (like dirty grease from the underside of a car) on its fur, and I didn't want it to lick it off.

All healthy cats with normal mobility are perfectly capable of taking care of their own grooming and keep themselves very clean. The only time I've ever had to do any grooming of cats is with a couple of long-hairs who started to lose their flexibility as they got older and began to develop areas of matted fur on their back.

As for the nail-clipping, that's also something I've never done, but then all my cats have been indoor-outdoor cats and their claws have never got very long. I'm sure it's a difficult process with any cat who didn't get used to the procedure when they were kittens.

The bottom line is that cats are not dogs. If you want a doofus beast who will accept just about any shit you decide to inflict on them, get a dog. If you want an animal that will pretty much look after itself if you allow it to, then learn to accept the negatives that come with an independent and only semi-domesticated beast.

Your cat doesn't give a rat's ass about you. She's just using you for the head scratches and food and to shit & piss wherever she wants.

You got the cat, now it's your responsibility to look after it. It's too bad if you didn't consider the possibility that she'd be annoying or that you wouldn't like her. You should've thought of that before getting her.

Dont ever do that! All you are doing is condemning an incident to a slow and painful death. And because shit like that cats have made species extinct. There used to be this lovely little bird that's now extinct because of bad pet owners

But that’s what cats are meant to do naturally...

Cats are very aggressive and kill without a care. This bird species went extinct because people threw there cat outside. A species not native to the area. Guess what happens when you introduce a invasive species to a new location. It fucks everything up everytime and thats exactly what happened

The cats weren’t outside to begin with?

The problem is that cats and dogs are bred en mass, their populations aren't natural compared to other animals. So it's not really healthy for animal populations to kill what they like.

They weren't native to the area. People brought them in got rid of them for whatever fucked up reason and just put them outside. And what do cats do when they see other creatures smaller than them? That's right they kill them. Ususlly for fun. Wallah an invasive species not originally from the are kills off an entire species cause the local species doesnt have any defense to it.
