Is it normal that i hate my best friend?

Well, here it goes, I used to hang around with great friends but then this girl, lets call her goblin, comes to us and just takes over us. At first, I liked her, as did everyone else but then one summer she asked me almost every day to go up the town. I thought nothing of it. Then when summer was over, she became really mean and her and the rest of my friends broke away, I cried for like 3 months straight and didn't know who to turn to. Then summer came and one of these friends invited me to her birthday party, I didn't want to attend so I got her a voucher and a card and called down to tell her I couldn't come. She felt the same way towards "goblin" as I did! It was great to have a friend who understud. We both broke away for the group and now we're best friends. This is where the problems start. Even though we're best friends and she feels the same way towards goblin, her and goblin are cousins! Although this doesn't bother me as shes nothing like goblin. Now, after summer, my best friend is becomin really spoilt and nasty. Today, I was sick and she had no uni classes, I drove past goblin and my best friend out together! I text my best friend and she was being really cheeky to me! I now don't know who to turn to or what to do! I need to talk to her, but at the minute, I HATE MY BEST FRIEND!!!! Is that normal?

Talk to her and ask whats up, calmly and honestly. It's totally understandable that you're angry with her though.

You should seriously get some sort of explanation from your "best friend". Otherwise, all you're doing is jumping on conclusions.

If she can't or won't offer you any, then would it still be right to call her your "best friend", let alone a friend?

I would suggest having the conversation face-to-face. Best of luck. I hope you find better friends in the future.
