Is it normal that i hate healthy food?

I've been trying to eat more healthy, but it's just soooo hard.I absolutely LOVE things like sweets, McDonald's, baked goods, etc.Not only that I love bad food, I hate anything healthy.I can't understand how anyone could like it.Of course I do try to eat home cooked food, fruits and vegetables, but every time I eat anything that's not junk I feel like I deserve a prize and I ruin all my efforts with a dessert.I hate myself afterwards, but I just can't help not eating anything unhealthy because I can't function if I don't. I even thought about eating only things I like but in smaller doses to control calorie intake, but I know it would kill me in the long run.

Well as a guy who's currently on a diet and use to eat out practically everyday I feel like I have some insight on this. Junk food is good and all, but I mean really try cooking some stuff at home. For example, try baking some chicken and making some mashed potatoes, one spud will do it, takes around 30 min of just waiting for it to be done. Anything you make at home will most likely be healthier than anything at a fast food restaurant. But also having a treat here and now isn't a bad thing, it won't kill you. Just try not to eat one like every couple of days or so. Enjoy the ice cream sandwiches just don't over indulge yourself. Eat in moderation and slowly try to give up fast food. Also exercise as well, for me personally I go to the gym for about an hour a day. Weight loss isn't easy, but as long as you try to eat healthy, actually try, and exercise you should see results in the long run.

I know that eating healthy can be hard but you just have to motivate yourself to lose weight. You have to have a goal, one that you can think about here and then. Overtime you'll learn to live without junk food.

You're not alone T_T And the healthy foods I like end up being expensive.

Perhaps you should consider the "healthy" foods as an investment in your future.
If you eat the garbage you love now, you will definitely pay for it later in life, when your bones become brittle and your arteries are all clogged up.
Of course, this will mean nothing to you now, as we all believe we are indestructible when we are young, but believe me, there may come a day when you regret the choices you are making now.

It's normal. Fast food contains lots of taste enhancers so once you got used to that healthy food tastes bland.

  • You just need to make small gradual lifestyle changes. Giving up junk food completely right away probably won't work well for you. Just start incorporating healthy foods into your daily diet slowly.

Yep, too much sugar can cause yeast infections, jock itch, ringworm, athlete's foot, dandruff, acne, eczema, dermatitis among other things.

  • As a future nutritionist...

Each person's diet depends on their needs. There are some things that are universally healthy for all, but there are other things, like a thin person wanting to gain weight should eat more butter, coconut oil, and high-calorie food. If you are trying to lose weight, you'll want to restrict your calorie intake in a way that keeps you FULL so you can continue to maintain your diet. High fiber options are good. I'd recommend chia seeds and apples for instance.

When trying to be healthy you cannot just go on a diet. You must change your entire lifestyle. There are foods out there that are savory, sweet, creamy, and yet good for you.

It sounds like you are looking for sweets. Brown rice syrup is the healthiest sugar sweetener. Stevia is sweet but it isn't sugar.

I eat a lot of instant, healthy snacks. The healthiest thing is to eat fresh or frozen food. When you want it, thaw and enjoy.

In spite of this, there are healthy snacks.

The ones with chia are good. The others taste a bit funky.

Health food can have everything (in my opinion) junk food can. You just need to know what to go for. It's not like you're stuck eating salads all day.

Be careful not to eat too much. Some of these things taste too good.
