Is it normal that i hate having to over think here?

Whenever I post a story about something, I usually don't get good answers. I mean, they go with what I give them, but they don't know all the background info about why that happened or why I'm like this.

And I don't want to over think and include everything, because then that is over kill.

It's just annoying, because I read the comments and think, "They don't know why I'm/person/whoever is like this, because they don't know what happened to them."

Maybe I'm over thinking again.

Just keep it short and sweet. If you write a novel most will just glance over it quickly and not read it :-)

  • It's good to think about thinking! People that analyze every possible situation, outcome, concequences, etc. have better chances of being successful! But when it comes to asking for advice on a help site, I wouldn't recommend driving yourself crazy. When nobody gives you the right idea, you need to focus on the things that you want and deserve.

  • There's no need to over think in here. Trust me.

I feel the same. The first time I went to write a story, it was like... Way over the character limit... It's difficult to put in all the details, whether you want to or not. But I think you maybe are over thinking a wee bit on this one. You understand that people reply based only on the details you give them. So you shouldn't get too annoyed over how they didn't answer in a way you hoped.
