Is it normal that i hate every little detail of modern day america?

ok, so i live in a tiny town in iowa, and recently i've started paying attention to stuff thats been going on in the world, and i've noticed that every priblem there is in the world today is in some way linked to america. And now I absolutely DESPISE every aspect of our country's leadership, and now i randomly get depressed after watching the news and having all the blatant lies flying in my face, and so as my way of saying fuck you usa, i smoke weed, is any of this normal?

The 62% who voted no are people that mass media has brainwashed into thinking everything is just fine in America. (I know I sound critical of people who buy into mass media manipulation, but the average person doesn't have a chance against resisting it.)

I'm proud I'm an American and I love many of the people of the USA. But what I don't love, is the nonstop arguments of the media being too liberal or too conservative (a debate that makes them stronger), people following political parties the same way sports fanatics follow Football teams, and (most importantly) corporate influence over government and society. It's all really frustrating at times, and sometimes dream of the day of a populist uprising.

one country is not the cause of all the world's problems. but if you feel this way, then why not do something to make a change (become a politician, or activist) otherwise stop bitching, smoke weed and chill the fuck out!

We have to remember that the media is VERY biased and liberal. They twist the truth and edit it out of the real story. Also, most of the news is negative. Stop watching it. Read your history books and those of other countries. Keep an open mind. It's not all bad here. There are some things to be embarrassed by and things to be proud of. USA is a great place to be.

I am not American. I would believe in all what you say to me.

Most countries or empires that have hit an apex of dominance, power, or empire building, turn self-reflective when the summit is reached, power balances shift, and they find themselves climbing down the other side.

The last century of my own country's history has been like this, turning us first into apologists, and then jaded cynics (an attitude, in itself, that has not endeared us to America, as we seem negative, critical, and picky yet meek).

There's no guarantee that America will evolve the same way but the early signs are there. I find this a very interesting period of your country's development.

Don't take personally the criticism you receive as a country (or more accurately, the "idea" of what your country is). It's not only misdirected; it's often wrong.

I'm not saying you should love your country blindly, just because that's the bit of soil your parents were on at the time of your birth. But you should be balanced in your view. Just as you should be balanced about other countries.

I too hate America. But it is easier for me I guess, due to the fact that I don't live there. If it helps, literally everybody outside of the US also hates it. Really, America has some seriously fucked up policies, and most of the people there seem to blinded by patriotism to realise it. But that is all just from an outsiders point of view, whether it is really like that in America I don't know.

"literally everybody outside of the US also hates it." from what i have seen this is pretty true. Everyone around me thinks this way because they blame the US for using other countries to wage proxy wars, making war thinking it will better their economy, black and native racisim ect. I think its great the the US gov wants to keep US citizens safe and comfortable but please stop bitching about human rights and international peace when you dont actually support it. its sort of annoying. But I dont have a problem with Americans in general unlike lots of people I know. There are some good parts and bad parts but guys really.
