Is it normal that i hate being a sister?

Sometimes, I hate being a sister and I wish I was a only child. Why? Because I'm not close to my older brothers and my younger brother makes me unhappy. We argue all the time and he hurts my feelings. Being a sibling is not a joyful gift like how many people make it out to be. Whats' the point in even being a sibling if you're just going to fight with each other all the time? I still love my brothers, I just wish I was born as a only child. Then I wouldn't have to deal with all of this. I'd move away but I don't have the money and since I'm on SSI (which prevents me from working full-time), I don't think I would ever save enough where I can actually leave.

    You might find that you need them at times in the future! It must be hard for you now, but hopefully things will get better:)

    I understand how you feel. I used to feel that way when I would get into bad arguments with my siblings. Is there any particular reason that they pick on you? My siblings used to argue with me because they didn't understand my mental illnesses and thought I was exaggerating the symptoms for attention. Thankfully though, that's all in the past. I am now the best of friends with my brother and still working on my relationship with my sister. So don't give up; there is usually a way to heal relationships with your siblings and it is a good idea to do so, because they can be the closest friends you'll ever have if you give them a chance.

    Cherish your siblings! All relationships take work! That being said I totally understand where you're coming from. It's totally normal. My brother and I didn't always have the best relationship. Sadly he passed and I have so many regrets. So work on the relationships and hopefully you all will find some common ground where you enjoy each others company.
