Is it normal that i had a crush on my best friend?

He was my best friend for a long time and I had a crush on him and he knew that, but he never really liked me. One day, I saw him make out with this girl I hate and I was upset and when I told him he acted like it never happened and didn't try to comfort me or anything. Is the way I reacted normal? Is his reaction normal? Am I just over reacting? Should I try and talk to him again? It's been a whole month and I haven't talked to him. My friend says I should but I'm not fully sure. Suggestions are welcomed! Thank you everyone that reads this and comments!

    I was in the same situation but im a guy. I didnt catch her making out but since this world is so small, I knew people who knew people that knew she was flirting with, and realy wanted some other guy. I made it quite clear I was into her but she ignored that. Bottom line is dont waste your time hun. I know how you feel, I was humiliated and embarrased by the simple tought that I had a chance. But I got so angry I quickly got over her. I advise you do the same for your own good. Hope this helped.
