Is it normal that i graduated high school and my girlfriend's a junior

I've been seeing this girl for about 2 months, and I recently told my friends about her. But I was reluctant to tell them her age. She's 2 years younger than me. It might not seem like a big deal, but it is. Last time I had a girlfriend 2 years younger than me was back when I was 13. She was 11, about to turn twelve. And I told them about her, and they took it out of context. They called me a pedophile, and they constantly teased me. They said it was like a 3-year age difference when really it was only a 1-year difference. And they still tease me. Whenever I even mention a girl, they ay "How old is she? 10?" I really want to tell them cause now I'm 18 and graduating high school, and she's becoming a Junior at the age of 15. (Note: There's exactly 1 year 2 month and 15 days apart, or 777 days) Is this normal?

It's normal, if you plan on going to college there will be even bigger age gaps in relationships when you get there. Also most people who get married aren't right in line with each other's ages, try not to let your age difference bother you as long as her parents and your parents are okay with this relationship then you should be okay with it too. If your friends are unsupported try talking to them about it or consider getting new friends.

I understand completely, years ago when I started highschool, there was a girl on my bus I thought was cute and I made the horrid mistake of telling someone. This was a terrible mistake because she was remarkably younger than I thought she was. And I was harassed over it for 2 years
