Is it normal that i got high off of caffeine

A couple of years ago I was at a barbecue and I drank 5 cups of pepsi and once we got in the car to go home I started feeling dizzy and slurring my speech a little. Usually caffeine doesn't affect me that much or it does the opposite of what's its supposed to (I have ADHD) My mom yelled at me because she thought I was drunk. Is this normal?

HAHAHA there was probably good ol' JACK DANIELS mixed with that coke...or "pepsi" but very well mixed so that you could barely taste it, and so you drank and kept on drinking..one, two..three

and point number TWO. It was a bbq. It cant possibly be a bbq without the good stuff beer n liquor

Did you know caffiene is a drug? It's the most used and abused even more so than nicotine and alcohol numbers 2 and 3 on the list. Of course it's normal to feel "high" from downing loads of caffiene. Why do you think there are so many that drink 5-8 cups of coffee to keep them awake? I do think you're reaction was a little extreme but probably this could have been related to your ADHD or due to the fact that maybe you drank too much at once or the soda was old.

I once had a trip from caffeinated coffee, but that was quite awhile ago and it's yet to happen again. Soda is NOT supposed to have this effect. Perhaps, the soda was spiked with something or mixed with alcohol? Did it smell or taste off?

Not impossible. If your body wasn't used to the caffiene having large amounts at once can affect your body in such a way.

5 cups of Pepsi, that's all? Try 2 44 oz of mountain dews and a 32 oz Monster energy and a can of NOS, then let me know how you feel, I did that and it's like a crazy feeling.
