Is it normal that i give myself an age deadline?

Ever since I became conscious of my passion in life, I gave myself an age deadline of 25 to:

-get my masters degree
-find a mate to have 1 kid with
-be financially secure
-support my self doing what I love

But I'm afraid that I might not get everything solved out in time as I also have this other side of me that just wants to live and explore. Its probably quite artificial to even come up with an age deadline, but it gives me somewhat of a purpose.

Do you have an age deadline?

I used to have an age deadline, but it was really geeky and unrealistic and involved moving to Japan when I turned 18 and becoming a famous manga artist, as well as having a Japanese husband - stereotypical weeaboo dream, but in my defense I was only like 12 - 13 at the time. But even though I gradually became aware of how unrealistic my dream was, it still made me pretty sad when I missed my age deadline, and I have only continued to get sadder the further in age I grow away from it.

But now I'm taking steps to achieve a more realistic version of my dream - drawing up a manga and submitting it to publishers that accept OEL (original English language) manga submissions. I don't expect it to become my only source of income and I don't expect to become famous over it, and I'm certainly not moving to another country because of it. But if I get even one of my works published by the time I'm 31, I'll be happy (I'm 21 now).

I have an 'age deadline' or life plan, although it's mainly centred around academic achievement, rather than finding love etc.

I think it's pretty normal, and useful, to have what you want to do set out.
