Is it normal that i get the urge to yell at movies?

Usually, when I'm watching a movie, if I see something really stupid happening that pisses me off, I usually yell at them not to do it or something like that even though I know they cannot hear me. Is that. . . normal?

Haha, yep, totally have that urge too. It's not supressed though. One time, I was watching this movie in the theatre, and it's a romantic comedy so the guy "accidentally" bumps into the girl he so obviously likes, and she likes him too, so they both say "oh, wow, what a coincidence!" and then i just loudly ramble: NO, it's not cause he bumped into you intentionally and you are too wimpy to admit that you like him, you both should get together already, the movie's almost over, so you can go out, have sex, make little babies, grow old and die.

Let me guess, you're black? Do you also like to talk on your cell phone in movies?

Actually, no I'm not. I prefer the term mixed. And also, cell phones during movies is one of my biggest pet peeves. =]

These made me laugh and I remembered the time I was in the cinema watching Sleeping Wtih the Eneny - many years ago!!

I got a bit bored and I was looking at the decor in the house on the screen when her hubby grabbed her ankle. I let out one almighty scream (at something so trivial) and the packed cinema roared with laughter.

My ex brother in law was once quite funny... I was totally engrossed in a film and it was getting to a really crucial point and I was sharing his popcorn without thinking. He put his hand up through the bottom of the box and I grabbed his warm hand and let out a scream in the silent cinema.

So no I don't shout at the movies, I only scream!!

The Twilight movies are like this for me. I can't help but rant and yell at Bella and her stupidity.

  • Loool I do this too. For different genres comes different sayings. I don't really talk that much in the cinema but I whisper a few things to my friend. Usually its like this:

For horror- "You see!? This is why you don't go around looking in dark spaces for no reason. I swear I just don't know why I live in a world filled with unintentional suicidal idiots."

For mystery- "Ahaa!! I bet you any amount of money its that janitor guy! Just look at him...he's so quiet. You have to admit, you don't suspect him not one bit. You know what they say - silent but deadly!"

For comedy "Ohhh my Looord!! That guy is fucking epic - I wish I was his friend"

For drama -(while crying) "Ohh noo! How could that happen? The world is so evil I just hate everyone! I feel so bad for her...I can't even imagine what she must be feeling."

For animation- "The graphics are sooo good! Arrgh man I hate my life I wish I could go on an adventure like this!"

For action - "Ohhh shit! I wish I could do that! Did you just see that - aarrgh man I wish I was as cool as that!"

Yeah actually this would seem like I talk a lot but it depends on who I'm with. With like two friends of mine we always sit far away from others to prevent disturbance. When I'm with people that hate talking during watching movies I just sit there and make appropriate facial expressions. At home its terrible but lucky I'm with people who don't mind a little bit of commentary Loool

lol, I love it when people yell at films or the TV. Me and a person I mention too often used to like going to dreadful films just to snigger at them. We saw Angels & Demons and there was this guy right at the front of the cinema who looked a bit dubious. Anyway, whenever Ewan McGregor was on screen the guy would shout one of:

    "Fuck off"
"I thought I told you to fuck off"
    "Not you again! Fuck off"

It was an afternoon showing and there were only a dozen people in the cinema who were all quite amused. Eventually some other guy and a girl in the middle start joining in. Then me and my girlfriend were at it. Finally everyone was doing it. The best bits were when a cinema worker came in and wandered down the aisle just before Ewan McGregor came on screen, and also when the cardinal had a blue tongue. The man at the front shouts: "He's a fucking hairy sheep is what he is" and then when Ewan McGregor is back on screen he snarls "I know what you've done, you rotten little fucker".

    We were in tears.

Maybe me, you and everyone else who wants to come should arrange to meet at a cinema and I'll recreate it for you all by being the guy at the front and you can all join in with me.
