Is it normal that i get super nervous on stage?

I get ridiculously nervous on stage. My voice shakes uncontrollably and I laugh out of nowhere. Normal?

  • You are nervous because you are worried about what other's will think of you. Most would say "just don't worry about what others think!" but I will tell you the truth: You probably can't change. I tried for years to help someone like you build self-confidence, and it cannot be done. Just accept that you are a nervous wreck.

completely normal. for me, i find it helps to prepare by practicing and mentally visualizing yourself on stage.

It's normal. I've never recovered from playing King Herod in a school play. First my crown fell off and rolled off the stage and then I was so distracted by everyone laughing, I tripped and fell off the stage myself. It was a performance so abject that I was only ever allowed to play animals after that.

  • Normal. Everyone to some degree or another is nervous when going on stage. The laughing part is something I've never seen happen though.
