Is it normal that i get stared at by men?

So. I'm a GUY, 17 going on 18. I commented on someones poll with this story and realized that I am curious on if it is normal or not.

I tend to walk around once in a while. It just so happens that every time I do walk around this area, there has to be an inconvenient man driving some type of pick-up truck wearing a cowboy hat and sunglasses. The sad part is that it isn't the same "cowboy" each time. They just drive by slowly and look at me. It's okay, it doesn't make me feel uncomfortable. Just go ahead and stare at me in such an obnoxious and obvious manner. I won't notice.

This is only one type of encounter I get.. :| Is this normal? I understand if girls get stared at by creepy men, but me? I'm not THAT attractive. I'm not even a girl. I don't know if I should be proud that I could attract both genders, afraid that I'm stalked by creepy men or confused about my gender.

    Well, im not really sticking with the gay thing here. I think that they measure you against themselves. Who is the better man, you know.. People do that to me too.. Just stare right back into their eyes.

    That's where being aware of your surroundings is something that could be a life or death situation. The sad part is there are people, more males and some females, that are child molesters and other creepy person kind if behavior. Back about 1980 I was in the Navy in Dan Diego, walking back to base one night about a 7 mile walk. I hear a horn honk and headlights, it was about 2 am. The driver asks if I could use a lift, and I was tired of walking so I accepted the lift. Not even a mile down the road this assholes is trying to massage my nut sack. I told him stop now or I'm gonna beat hell outta you. He pulled over I got out and walked rest of way. Keep eyes in back of your head.

    Why do people assume that a cowboy hat and a pickup truck means a guy is gay? Life is not a PORNO.

    It's normal behavior for some gays. How many, I have no idea. I went to a toilet at a state park and some guy sitting at a nearby picnic table got up and started heading there. I veered off and he sat back down. I headed back and so did he. So I went in the woods. That way I only had to deal with one turd. It isn't the first time I've encountered gay lurkers. It's amazing the risks they'll take and what they'll sacrifice; an elementary principal was picked up at a local mall for propositioning men at the rest rooms. The police were there in response to complaints. Nothing wrong with that; they would have done the same thing if women had complained about being harassed.
