Is it normal that i get scared around gay people?

In my neighborhood there is a yellow house that a lot of men enter and have parties on certain occasions. I went to one of these parties one day and when I came in, the first thing I saw, was 2 men making out. My stomach did a backflip. I wanted to leave, but my freind insisted that I stayed. Later on I learned that it was called a "love party". I've never been more afraid in my life!

    i really dont like it when people classify gay people as a different type of species. there the same as everyone else... and if ur scared of gay people u shud be scared of everyone bc everyone now and then has feelings for the opposite sex.

    I guess its normal to be ignorant... I'm a bisexual and I don't want to sexually harass every person I see. Try talking to them. You will be surprised that we're not that much different than you!

    Yes, it's normal. Try talking to gay people, getting to know them on an intellectual level. Most of the problems I've seen with homophobia is that they are afraid not only of their own viewpoint of homosexuals, but also afraid that gay people will try to hit on them or have sex with them all the time. That's not the case. Most homosexuals respect straight people and would never cross that line. Just try to befriend a few of them and let them know your fears, they could probably help you through it.

    I wouldn't be afraid, not all gay men like all men just as not all hetero men like every girl they see.

    Even if they did try to flirt with you, all you have to do is politely tell them you're not that way inclined. It's not like they're going to jump on you or anything.

    I've had a gay guy try to forcibly rape me I punched him in the mouth.
