Is it normal that i get really upset over other people's problems

My friend's wife just suffered a stillbirth and when I was told the news from my mother I cried for a really long time.. I've noticed that I get more upset about people I know's problems than my own. Even people I'm not the closest too, when terrible things happen like this I always end up getting emotional about it. I'm always the first one to cry/sometimes the only one when something terrible happens or we're watching an emotional movie, and I'm a fifteen year old boy so I get teased about it a lot. I think I cry more than girls my age do. So yeah.

You're just really empathetic...and there's nothing wrong with that. The world needs more people like you.
