Omg!!! I thought it was only me! When I have to pee really bad, my gums itch so much that I make these weird faces, trying to relieve the itch with my lips. Wow

It is absolutely normal for some people, it has nothing to do with the health of your teeth. Some people aren't able to ignore the signal from their bladder to urinate long enough to experience the sensation. I have a very high pain threshold so I am able to put off urination for 7-8 hours at a time if I am working on an engrossing project or very busy at work. That my gums are itching is the signal that I have put it off too long!

Yes! Only when I "hold it" for a long period of time. Then I find myself grinding my teeth as I pee. I hope nothing "is wrong with my body".

I get itchy gums when I'm coming down with the flu or a cold. I always thought it was strange and no one I ask about recognizes the feeling.
