Is it normal that i get irritated when people misinterpret punk?

The reason people confuse them is because no one gives a fuck! They're all the same in my book: weird as hell. Stop putting labels on a style and wear what you want, listen to what you like, and let that be the end of it.

It is normal to a point, but what's important to remember is that "punk" is an attitude as well as a musical genre. But anywho I'd say it's normal because when you're passionate about something it's annoying when random jackasses feel the need to give their opinions on the subject without knowing anything. And I agree that Blink 182 is not punk.

Alright this is to the first comment: where the hell do you get the idea the the ramones and the clash aren't punk?! They are two of if not the tow greates punk bands ever! And I don't mean to sound like a dick about my rant I just ge annoyed in my head. I let people listen to the music they want but I don't like having music fixed upon me. Also I do like blink, but I respectthem as an alternative band. Nothing more.

well, im on u side about hating to hear ppl talk like they know shit about something ur passionate about and their knowage is wrong or limited, but, lighten up a lil. i have to do this when i here ppl talk about certian thins, but i just not worth getting too worked up about, either try to educate them nicely, or ignore them
