Is it normal for me to get like extremely embarrassed whenever my mom talks about feelings, hers and mine? We're a close family but relationships and doing anything sexual with a boy has been strictly forbidden while I was growing up. I'm 18 now and I've still not gotten over that. Is that normal?

    It's normal, especially if she has forbidden it in the past. I don't like talking to my family about feelings either, although that's probably the main reason why a lot of them think I'm autistic. In that case, I'm probably not the best person to say whether it's normal or not.

    I guess I can relate. We never talked about relationships and sex in my family (I think we didn't even have 'the talk'), so even now (I'm 21) I avoid having to talk about all that...

    Im not comfortable talking about something sexual (which is very normal) but i dont have much of a problem talking about my feelings (with someone i know that is)
