Is it normal that i get better sleep away from my bed?

I seem to sleep better, no matter what I'm sleeping on, if I'm anywhere other than my own bed. It's not uncomfortable, and I've owned four beds at this point in my life. I just seem to sleep better anywhere other than on my bed, whether it's on the floor, in a chair, or even outside.

Why don't you buy a futon and get rid of your bed?

I have a great bed an most of the time I fall asleep on the couch, someone told me it's because I feel lonely in my bed and when i'm on the couch I am watching TV so I feel more comfortable.

When you are away you will be less aware of your own problems. When you are somewhere else, you will be more relaxed because you are the guest and know you will be taken care of.

I never sleep on my bed, I don't even know why I own one. I tend to always sleep on the couch.

Relocate your bed, just move it around the room and see where you sleep the best.

I don't sleep well, either. Although I seem to sleep very well in hotels. I'm not sure what to recommend because I have exactly the same problem. Perhaps you need to tire yourself out (travelling tires me, which is maybe why I sleep well in hotels). I honestly don't know, but if you ever find the answer, please tell me too.

    That's quite unusual.
Perhaps there is something in our bedroom (or where ever your bed is) that's keeping you awake.

Perhaps you don't associate your bed with sleep so that makes it harder to sleep on.

Maybe something traumatic happened on the bed that you're blocking out.

Maybe you should buy a new mattress, but keep the receipt, just to see how it goes.
