Is it normal that i get annoyed by my cousin talking about her tattoo

I'm in my 20s and I have a cousin who is two years younger than me. She has one tattoo, about the size of a half dollar, on her foot. It literally took 15 minutes to tattoo. Every time I see her she wears sandals, even in the snow, just to show it off. And she always finds some way to work it into a conversation. She is constantly posting tattoo memes on Facebook and making comments about being "tatted up". I myself have two tattoos. One is about the size of my open hand, the other is 7 inches X 4 inches. About 10 hours of work total, and I don't consider myself to be "tatted up". I only talk about mine if someone asks, and one is almost always covered so most people don't even know I have it. I got them for myself and I don't feel the need to flaunt them all the time. It seems to me like my cousin got hers just to "fit in" or something. But I'm getting really annoyed by how she acts about it. Would you feel the same way?

    No offence, but she sounds like one of those pretentious hipster people. That behaviour is terribly annoying. Not only that, but it completely destroys and disrespects the movement for those that feel it really means something to them.

    Oh jeez I had a friend like that many moons ago. It was such a rinky dink little daisy with her initials. It was poorly done as well and she thought it was just sooo coooool. Meh.

    I wear clothes to show off as many of my tattoos that I can possibly show off. So far it works because mine are placed behind/under an ear, my chest, my shoulder, my upper arm and my wrist. But once I continue it will get harder. I think that some people really love to talk about their ink. I am among these people myself. Or is it more okey for me to do it because I have more?

        Honestly I would be naked a lot in public if I could. Sadly as a woman I'd ...be ...so ...stared ...at . It's enough with he stares I receive already xDD

      I would say yes. With her, I think she more or less got her tattoo just to "join the club" but got such a tiny one because she didn't want to make such a commitment. She also exaggerates and claims that people judge her for having a tattoo. All it is is a tiny flower. No one would even notice it if she didn't talk about it all the time.

        I don't know her and a part of me wanted to tell you that you were paranoid but unfortunately I know that people can be real idiots and do things just to fit in so ... uh. A flower on her foot hardly makes people judge her, I agree. The tattoo that I have on my shoulder is a demon with a penis and breasts THAT if anything is a tattoo that will get me judged. But a flower? No.
