Is it normal that i get along with guys better than girls?

I seem to get along with guys much better than i do with girls. Im 18 and i get along with girls just fine, don't get me wrong it's not like i have issues communicating with girls i just seem to be able to joke around and talk easier to guys and I manage to get pretty close to them for them to share their issues and problems with me. I don't flirt with them, its strictly friend to friend, but then most of the time they end up liking me and then friendship gets awkward for a while but we're back to good friends again. This isnt always the case with every single male friend of mine but most of the time it works like that. Is there anyone else who can relate to this? Is this a bad thing?

    my girlfriend is like that, she dislikes her female cousins and spends time with her male cousins, plus she has like 4 female friends.

    As a guy, I find I get along better with guys than girls. So, it's pretty normal.

    Yeah, I'm the same way. I don't like being around girls because they're whiney, selfish and will always back stab you to benefit themselves. I only have one female friend LOL. I think it's because I relate better with guys cause I have three brothers and a more laid back personality than girls seem to have.

    And before any one says it I'm not a manly butch or a Tom boy haha.

    Yeah, and it's also normal for girls to think that it makes them different from other girls. Truth is 99% of you feel the same way.

    Guy's arn't so freaking petty! I've always been a Tom boy but now I'm 33 in in the corporate world. I thought high school was bad! Adult women r WORSE!!!

    Completely normal. A lot of the girls I hang around with either don't trust, relate to, or are jealous of other girls. You don't get bitchiness with guys. You get attention (admittedly, sometimes too much). And you get trust. We'll say things to women we wouldn't say to our male friends. We can be a bit more ourselves around you. I need my guy friends, but I very much value and love my female friends and wouldn't be without them.

    Guys are much simpler then girls. My sister has this, too. It will cause you to sometimes be a crush.

    Absolutely. I totally get it. And same with the liking you thing. Actually, all my friends are telling me to go out with this one guy in our group. They even say you guys would be cute and that I love him and stuff in front of us! I'm pretty sure he gonna ask me out tomorrow and I want to say yes, but I can't because i'm afraid our friendship will change if we broke up. But guys are definitely easier to talk to.
