Is it normal that i gained this much weight?

Okay, so usually I am a pretty thin girl. I typically have an hourglass shape, a relatively flat stomach, my proportions were okay, and my thighs were the only problem I had since they were so much bigger than everything else in comparison. My sisters would actually tell me that they were jealous of my body shape and they would constantly ask me how I am so thin. Just recently though, (starting maybe 2 weeks ago?) I have been dealing with ENORMOUS weight gain. I have what people call a "muffin top" now, a good amount of back fat, my thighs are even bigger than before, and now my body shape isn't as defined as it used to be. Now, I would say that I have more of a pear shape, which I don't want! I have been doing exercises to tone up my muscles (I do dance during the year which keeps me in shape) so that I will get rid of the fat everywhere and I can get back to my original shape that I had practically a month ago. Is it normal to gain that much weight over a short period of time? And if you have any tips please give them to me! I need a solution fast!

Two things that I noticed cause rapid weight gain. #1 your period. #2 Graduating from high school.

    Water weight. IMO

No way you could gain much in that short a time otherwise. Diet: sodium may be something. Intolerance to something. But you just don't gain a lot overnight like that. Keep up your regime. Explore what is in your diet to cause bloaty and false weight gain.

If you gain that much weight that fast, there may be an underlying condition. It is unhealthy.
I would see a doctor, if I were you.

    HOWEVER.
I had the feeling that I gained a lot of weight once, and my shape changed, but when I checked, in reality I actually stayed the same. Since this supposedly only happened over two weeks, it could very well be just your mind.

I have an hourglass shape too. I hate it when I gain a few pounds because it very noticeable. You should do a lot of walking, running, bike riding, and squats. Dancing is also a fun great exercise.

The good thing about the hourglass shape though is that everything proportions nicely. I guess you can say we are the lucky ones even though we don't have fast metabolism.

All this in a 2 week period? What did you eat? Me personally, I'd love each and every inch of you. I'm not in to really skinny people but what ur describing definitely has my mind wandering and I'd LOVE to actually see it for real.

The good thing is with our bodies, we can make them look however we want. If I want more muscle, I can diet and workout to do it. If you want to lose more fat, you can diet and workouts and it's an easy fix. 90 days max with good diet and exercise.

How much weight did you gain, and how much have you been eating? If you want to lose the weight, eat less. Consider counting calories. fatsecret.com is a pretty good online tool for that.

a very healthy way to lose weight is to control your portions...(EAT a big breakfast, regular size lunch, and a smaller dinner.) don't eat atleast 2-3 hours before you go to sleep. I have always been a skinny guy (146 lbs was my highest weight at the end of high school) after that year, I went from 150 to 220. fucking awful. but now I am at 175 and still losing weight. I have no fucking idea why I got so big for a second.
