Get yourself a pet hamster and carry him around with you in your shirt pocket. Get into the habit of telling the hamster what you are doing and why, then for example when you walk into a room and forget why, ask the hamster why, and it will tell you.

    Problem solved my friend!

Seriously read your original post again really quickly.
Your mind is going a hundred miles an hour, with topics, points, and questions and stacks of different things.

She can't take it sir, she's going to blow!

Slow down, and do things one at a time. You will probably appreciate life more too.

Shall I assume you don't do any drugs or drink? My memory is shot. I do smoke pot though, however my short term memory problems started before I ever drank or smoked. It was from medications that I was made to take even though they weren't approved for children or young adults :( I was also misdiagnosed, so that medication was even more wrong for me. The place that was responsible ended up getting sued by a lot of patients. Too bad I didn't find out about that til it was too late.

Haha, I've never read a post that ended in "god bless" before:P!

You sound like you have a pretty bad memory, and if it's bothering you I'd see someone about it. It seems to be affecting all of your memory, and doesn't seem to be specific to one part of your memory (such as long-term, etc.).

If it helps at all, loads of people do some of those things. I know I've went to get something and then completely forgotten what it was until like a minute later. Besides that though, your memory isn't normal,in my opinion. I'm not sure if anyone else is like you,but I have a good memory so this seems bizarre to me.

@bananaface thank you for replying and yes it never really bothered me before but lately it has been bothering me a lot since I do it all the time now lately it seems like the only sentences that I can remember are 1.What was I just talking about(and this is always during my conversations) and 2.I was just going to say something to you(this is when I get ready to start talking) Also if someone gives/hands me something I will really forget 10 minutes later and argue with them that they never gave it to me (example the car keys)And I will strongly believe that they never did and also everyone around me notices it a lot there always saying what is wrong with you you are always forgetting and the only thing I can seem to find online about forgetting is anxiety but don't have anxiety so I guess a doctors appointment is needed for me

@dirtybirdy I am currently taking 1mg suboxone after having a year long addiction to percocet 30mg maybe that is whats going on with my memory but I have never touched drugs/alcohol before the age of 28 and I was still forgetting just not nearly ass much as I do now
@dad I think maybe you are correct because that is exactly how I am and for some reason it always feels like im rushing for no reason and I never can focus on one thing I always bounce around to different things weather it be conversations cleaning ect.

I just noticed this and I don't know if you were able to fix the issue or slow down and think but I recommend Advocare products. I LOVE THEM! I mean I have that same problem normally but when I take my products like "Spark" my mind is so much clearer. You seem to me like you might have ADD attention deficit disorder which I have as well. I am always bouncing around activities meetings and ideas around in my head and I normally think I have already told you something but indeed I had not. Then I try to rethink what I just said all before I actually finish the conversation and I then forget what I was saying I the first place. Advocare is not for everybody but it is worth a shot. I absolutely swear by them. Good luck.

you are so right I do exactly the same things that you stated.I was diagnosed at 17 with add and ocd and used to take medication but haven't in many years.Ive tried many different medications for my add such as adderall Ritalin concerta but they all seemed to make my ocd alot worse ive never heard of advocare and I just googled advocare spark im not sure if it would work because it was comparing to caffeine that is in coca cola and I drink a 12 pack of coke a day do you know if this would still be good to take with all the soda drink

Thank you I didn't know that I am new to the site I thought that just responding to the entire post would notify everyone but the place that you are talking about wrongly medicating you I think you still might be able to sue I don't thin k they have a time limit on malpractice have you looked into it before
