Is it normal that i find sex on a bed awkward?

It's not that I hate mattresses but I find it so awkward to have sex on a bed no matter the position. Instead, it feels more natural for me in settings like back alleys, roughing it up against a wall, rolling around the floor, going at it on a table etc. I'm not an exhibitionist and actually quite conservative/prudent around people.

I think that a bed to you is just for sleeping. It is the established place of sleep and thats it. I think some people might immediately go into sleep mode when they get in bed and don't keep the "mood" going. Sex on other areas and surfaces is perfectly normal.

I think it is probably normal, maybe not so common but it sounds harmless and fine. If you like movies by Woody Allen, you can check his movie Everything You Always Wanted to Know about Sex (But Were Afraid to Ask), the third episode is " Why Do Some Women Have Trouble Reaching an Orgasm?
Allen's homage to Italian film-making in general and Casanova 70, Michelangelo Antonioni and Federico Fellini in particular, about a woman (Louise Lasser) who can only reach orgasm in public."
