Is it normal that i find inside jokes incredibly annoying?

I don't know about you guys but I find inside jokes extremely annoying. The other day I was hanging out with two other friends and they kept laughing and talking about non sense and totally forgetting i was there. I wasn't going to be mean and tell them to stop so I would just smile and pretend to enjoy myself, which is incredibly hard when they are conmstantly saying things like, "REMEMBER THE PICKLE?" HAHAHAHAHAHAHA" It makes me feel totally excluded. I just wish that we could make our own funny memories rather than them laughing over past things I had nothing to do with. If i try to comment they are laughing to hard for me to hear myself talk. Does anyone else hate inside jokes around friends? Am I normal?

          Then I basically asked if you had seen the post I made recently to the user "shaftyface69" about being suspicious about his username because I thought that also might have had something to with the joke.

          I feel like I left something out... I think you get the gist of it though.

              Anyway, what were you irritated about? Maybe you could vent your anger out here (at me) in a passive aggressive manner that I might or might not enjoy/get sexual arousal from?

              Well, to be fair, he claimed to have not "rip[ped] off of [my] username for the record," (but I am still skeptical) and he did change the color of his username after I politely suggested it to him. I am not sure if he decided to stick around though, but I guess we'll see... I came very close to reporting him though. He didn't seem like a very intelligent user (based on some of his comments in which he was trolling) and if he was going to hassle me, I just wasn't going to put up with it, you know?

              P.S. I laughed at the "FuckValkeer" comment XD

    I have inside jokes with my mom & some of my friends, but what your friends are doing is inconsiderate. They could've at least told you what they were talking about rather than ignoring you. Maybe you should tell them how you feel, or just don't hang out with them.

    I hate it too, especially since almost ALL the guys in my class laugh about inside jokes in class and I just don't get anything. Feeling excluded always sucks, so I started avoiding being together with people who had too many inside jokes. If I exclude people and they ask, I'll tell them.

    I usualy ask what they are laughing about and they usually tell me.

    If they let you in on the joke after you ask then that's fine but if they refuse to tell you and carry on laughing the that's effin annoying.

    I love being the perperator in these situations. Inside jokes are most fun when you can confuse people with them. I hate when it happens to me, but then you just hit them back later woth some in-jokes of your own!

    I used to feel like you did, but I find when I talk to people enough those sort of jokes just come into being without explanation, and then I am part of them. Maybe try talking to some of your friends one-on-one more and not in a group where they already have in-jokes? Then you might end up creating some of your own with them, and you can plot revenge!
