I started dating my best friend. I've known her for 9 years. Well, we've been taking it REALLY slow. It's been over 2 weeks, and we haven't kissed. We hug, we only held hands once, and haven't kissed. Comment, if you've had experience cmoing out of the long term friend zone.

    When I first started dating my boyfriend it took 3 monthes for the first kiss. It'll happen eventually when the time is right :) But if you are growing impatient, you can try going somewhere romantic to set the mood and go for it. Best of luck!

      ^ I second this one. If it's getting to you then set the mood. Do something romantic that would make kissing come to her mind.

    The thing is that, I don't get it. Why do you say you're dating your best friend if you haven't kissed?
    Everybody who I know who has dated their best friends was because someday they kissed (drunk or sober) and then they realised they wanted to be together. It might be awkward at first for them too, and it's normal!! :)
    So, how come you guys started dating like this?

      We just came out and said we liked each other for a long time. That's really it. It didn't take a special moment for us to realize it or anything.
