I keep meeting really selfish people. Also, I certainly don't want to meet people like that but unfortunately there just seem to be a lot of them. I'm sick and tired of always meeting these same types of people.
Everyone is selfish. It's the smart thing to be, in a moderate enough form. The least selfish people I know get exploited on a regular basis and the most selfish people I know exploit others on a regular basis. When you're in that in-between, some people will see you as selfish as hell, even when you're just being reasonable.
We're all selfish - we're all egocentric.
Our survival for the most part depends on us valuing ourselves above all others.
You're no different.
But I'm interested to know, what makes you think all of these people you meet are particularly selfish? What do they do that makes you judge them negatively?
I know that everyone is selfish but those people I know are really selfish and arrogant. They couldn't care less about others and don't even see anything wrong with their behaviour. I can be selfish too, of course, but I still try to have empathy for others. Those people I know, though, don't give a sh"t about how their behaviour affects others.
Humans can be both selfish and selfless. It just depends on what they wish to be.
