Is it normal that i feel so sick i'm dizzy?

Lately, I've felt really sick. It started off as just allergies - sore throat, stuffy nose, and coughing. It's only been a day later, but I feel really dizzy and sick. My throat has gotten to the point where I can't talk at all. My mother is still asleep in the other room, and I can't wake her by just shaking her awake. I woke up this morning feeling like I was gonna vomit, but I hadn't thrown up anything.
